Needs Assessment and Program Evaluations

Focus Strategies works at the system and program level to ensure that community programs are operating efficiently and effectively. We tailor technical assistance to our client communities, in order to best help clients understand what is necessary to reduce homelessness within their specific community. Our work in this area includes:

• Conducting homelessness system and program evaluations; and
• Conducting system-wide housing needs assessments.

Needs Assessment and Program Evaluations Projects

Focus Strategies has assisted communities in understanding thue needs and current performance of their local homeless system and specific programs within the system. For example, in San Mateo County, we evaluated the effectiveness of their motel voucher program for homeless families, a key element of the community’s strategy to reduce homelessness.
